- My mother Jean Jorgensen born in Japan, was widowed in 1958 with four little girls. My father whom she met after the war while he was stationed in Japan was a test pilot in the Air Force. Since one of her brothers had moved to the VI's in 1954- it was at his suggestion that she come down and run a travel agency (he recently bought for her) and try living here for one year..we moved to the Virgin Islands in 1961 and luckily enough that one year has turned into 49. All four daughters became involved with the agency, through our high school vacations and college trips back home, however my younger sister and I are the remaining two owners of our now third generation family business.
